Handyman Location: Ipswich Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour PAYE Contract: Temporary – 3 months About the Role We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Handyman to join their facilities team in Ipswich on a temporary 3-month contract.
This is a hands-on role focused on the general upkeep, presentation and maintenance of the building. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of fabric maintenance tasks, including painting and decorating, basic carpentry and general repairs, ensuring the building remains safe, functional and well presented.
Key Responsibilities Carry out general fabric maintenance and upkeep across the building. Complete painting and decorating works to a high standard. Undertake basic carpentry and joinery repairs. Carry out minor repairs and remedial works as required.
Maintain walls, doors, fixtures, fittings and other elements of the building fabric. Identify defects and report any issues requiring further attention. Assist with maintaining the overall appearance and presentation of the site.
Complete general maintenance and upkeep tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager. Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant Health
