Job Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: NorthwestSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + Quarterly Profit ShareHours: Mon – Fri 08:30-17:00hrsContract: PermanentOur client is a well-established market leader, producing and supplying premium construction materials trusted in the restoration of historic buildings and widely used across new-build developments.
Following the expansion of our coverage area, we are recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales and support the execution of the distribution strategy across the NorthwestAs the Business Development Manager, your duties will be: -Drive sales of our full range of products and systems in the Northwest of England and some areas of Yorkshire.
Support stockist & distribution strategy via merchant partners and facilitate product supply. Follow up and convert leads and website enquiries, within your geographical area, providing quotations where required. Provide technical support to property developers and specifiers with some site visitsCollaborate with internal technical and sales teams to ensure that customer requirements are fully met.
Deliver customised product presentations and CPDs for target audiences/customers. Deliver product training to new distribution and contractor customers. Utilise CRM system, including but not limited to, logging of calls, emails, visits, and processing and logging quotes, complaints, and projects.
Achieve agreed performance targets. Promote the integrity and benefits of the companys core product ranges. Preserve & develop the excellent market reputation of the company. Principally home office / hybrid working, attend regular monthly performance and review meetings at our head office in Shropshire.
Keep management informed by tracking performance, submitting activity and results reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual analyses. The successful Business Development Manager will have the following
skills
- Proven experience in Business Development or Field Sales, ideally within construction materials, building products, or a related sector. Experience working with/supporting merchant partners, distributors/stockists, architects, developers, and contractors etc.
Ability to develop new business while maintaining and growing existing accountsComfortable conducting site visits and providing basic technical guidanceStrong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsSelf-motivated with strong communication and negotiation skillsFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Northwest and YorkshireWhat the company offersCompetitive salary + quarterly profit sharesCar Allowance & Mileage.
