The successful applicant will hold proven experience delivering growth and business development within the retail market, ideally the DIY trade. On this occasion, only applicants with FULL Right to work in the UK already in place can be considered.

Responsibilities

Identifying,targeting and converting new business within the retail DIY marketUnderstanding building products, construction materials to aid credible buying conversationsBuilding strong, exclusive relationships with depot Managers, buyers, Procurement Directors and retail Trading teamsWorking independently and managing own pipeline of growthWorking collaboratively with the wider commercial team on larger business winsQualifying opportunities for growth and new businessBuilding pipelines of prospect growth and converting to revenue outcome Managing CRM activityEssential

requirements

Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle Previous experience in a Business Development role, winning new business within DIY Retail and/or TradeStrong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication and influence and negotiation skillsExperience with retailer planogram cyclesConfidence in creating and delivering presentations Good IT literacy, especially with MS office and CRM systems The ability to use data to build commercial argumentsPrior experience measuring success through revenue growth, margin and new winsKnowledge of building products, fixings, hardware or equivalent Familiarity with buying structures: Fortis, NBGSound understanding of the UK house building and residential construction marketBenefits:35 days holidays per annum, including Bank Holidays Annual Pay ReviewAnnual Bonus Scheme (subject to business performance)One of the UK's leading defined contribution pension schemes (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution)Free onsite parking at all sitesEmployee assistance programme for mental, physical and financial well-beingExclusive online services including restaurant, local, and national retail discountsAll applicants are subject to vetting checks including but not limited to: Right to work check, medical check and reference check.
