Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Buyer Client: Global manufacturing company Location: Bristol Hourly Rate: Up to £18 PAYE or £23.52 Umbrella Duration: 6-months Working arrangements: Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site
About the Role
As a Buyer, your mission is to ensure a consistent and sustainable supply of raw materials to meet production demands and support the sites' production schedule. They play a key role in developing operational buying capabilities through supplier management, process improvement, and team collaboration to strengthen the department's ability to support business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the procurement of raw materials to ensure consistent supply aligned with production schedules. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating terms and monitoring performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, production, and commercial teams to align purchasing activities with business needs and strategic goals. Support the development of operational buying processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
