p We have an exciting opportunity within our Head Office Buying Team for a Buying Assistant to support the continued growth of our fitness and gym equipment ranges for both commercial and home users, working with leading brands across cardio, strength, and accessories. /p p br /p p Reporting to the Head of Product Development Procurement, this role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in retail buying within a specialist fitness and gym equipment business. /p p br /p p Join us as a Buying Assistant earning a salary of £27,000 per annum. /p p br /p p What we are also offering the Buying Assistant… /p p br /p ul li Pension scheme. /li li 40 hours per week.

Enjoy a full paid 30-minute lunch break each day. /li li Generous staff discount on our full range of fitness and gym equipment (following probation). /li li 29 days holiday per year (including bank holidays). /li li Free on-site car parking. /li li Personal use of in-store equipment after hours. /li li Full on the job training. /li li Free tea coffee. /li li Working within a small friendly team. /li /ul p br /p p A Buying Assistant at Fitness Superstore, will… /p p br /p ul li Support the Head of Product Development Procurement and the wider Buying Team with the day-to-day management of our commercial and home fitness equipment ranges, suppliers, and purchase orders. /li li Raise, update, and track purchase order to ensure accurate and timely delivery of stock into our warehouse. /li li Maintain accurate product data, including specifications, pricing, and supplier details, across our internal systems. /li li Liaise with UK and international suppliers on lead times, order confirmations, delivery dates, and any issues that may affect availability. /li li Monitor stock levels and availability across key product lines such as treadmills, strength equipment, weights, and accessories, highlighting potential shortages or overstock. /li li Assist with basic sales and margin reporting to support buying decisions, promotions, and range reviews. /li li Work closely with the warehouse, e-commerce, and customer service teams to ensure product launches, promotions, and deliveries run smoothly. /li li Support the set-up of new products, ensuring all data, images, and technical specifications are accurate and complete for both commercial and home users. /li li Help resolve stock, delivery, and product-related queries from internal teams and suppliers. /li /ul p br /p p Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00. /p p br /p p The successful Buying Assistant will have… /p p br /p ul li Have at least 12 months experience in an office-based role, ideally within buying, merchandising, supply chain, or a similar commercial environment. /li li Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with data and spreadsheets. /li li Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling product, pricing, and stock information. /li li Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues. /li li The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. /li li A proactive, organised, and solution-faced approach to work. /li li Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. /li li An interest in fitness, sport or gym equipment would be a distinct advantage. /li /ul p br /p
