You’ll be involved in developing new functionality, improving existing solutions and helping to ensure the continued reliability and performance of the systems. /p p br /p p A strong background in C#, .NET, MVC and Web APIs is essential, alongside good SQL Server experience. /p p br /p p The role /p p br /p p As part of the development team,

you will

/p p br /p ul li Develop, enhance and maintain applications across the clients product suite. /li li Work with MVC front ends and Web APIs to deliver robust and effective solutions. /li li Develop clean, maintainable and scalable applications using C# and .NET. /li li Work closely with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing stored procedures, mapping business processes to database schemas and optimising query performance. /li li Apply strong object-oriented programming principles and appropriate design and architectural patterns. /li li Contribute to unit testing and software quality. /li li Investigate and resolve technical issues across the product suite. /li li Work collaboratively with development and support colleagues. /li li Produce clear technical documentation and assist with knowledge transfer and handovers to the wider support team. /li li Gain exposure to a variety of products, modules and business processes, making this a role with plenty of technical variety. /li /ul p br /p p Essential skills and experience /p p br /p p The successful candidate will have: /p p br /p ul li Experience developing MVC front ends and Web APIs. /li li Strong C# development skills. /li li Experience with .NET Framework 4.7+ and .NET Core 6+. /li li JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap and CSS experience. /li li Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including: /li li Writing stored procedures. /li li Mapping business processes to database schemas. /li li Query optimisation and performance tuning. /li li Ideally 5+ years commercial SQL Server experience. /li li A strong understanding of object-oriented programming. /li li The ability to write well-structured, maintainable and reliable code. /li li Good communication skills, particularly when documenting solutions and sharing technical knowledge with colleagues. /li /ul li /li p Desirable skills /p p br /p p Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: /p p br /p ul li Concurrency patterns in C#. /li li Software design and architectural patterns. /li li Azure SQL Server and Azure Cloud Services. /li li Integration with third-party software, databases and external services. /li li Vue.js. /li /ul p br /p p The client is particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong core development skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to work confidently across a varied technical environment. /p
