CAD Engineer – Mechanical Design
Fed up with designing the same thing day after day?
We're recruiting for an established engineering business delivering bespoke mechanical equipment and engineered solutions across the energy, water and aerospace sectors.
Due to continued growth, they're looking for a CAD Engineer who enjoys turning engineering concepts into detailed, manufacturable designs.
You'll work on a varied range of projects alongside experienced engineers, helping take designs from initial ideas through to manufacture and installation.
What you'll be doing
- Producing detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Developing mechanical designs from specifications and engineering requirements.
- Supporting concept development and design reviews.
- Working closely with mechanical, project and manufacturing teams.
- Preparing technical documentation and supporting practical design improvements.
What we're looking for
- Experience in a mechanical CAD or design engineering role.
- Proficiency with recognised 3D CAD software.
- Understanding of fabricated components, structures and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- An engineering or manufacturing qualification at ONC level or equivalent.
Autodesk Inventor experience would be beneficial, but experience with other recognised CAD packages is welcomed.
