Capital Actuary

Overview

In this Capital Modelling Actuary role, you will support SCR delivery and develop internal models for a global specialty insurer. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, both internal and external, bringing your London market capital experience to bear. You will leverage Igloo and Solvency II knowledge to shape capital choices and reporting. This is an opportunity to influence capital strategy at scale and contribute to the insurer’s risk framework and financial resilience.

Responsibilities

• Support SCR delivery for the insurer in line with regulatory requirements
• Develop and enhance internal capital models
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to interpret model outputs and drive decisions
• Provide capital modelling input for governance, reporting, and external communications
• Maintain Igloo-based modelling workflows and ensure data quality and model risk controls

Key requirements

• Up to 5 years of experience in a London markets capital role
• Exposure to Igloo
• Strong understanding of Solvency II
• Comfort working with senior stakeholders
