Working as part of the school's estates and facilities team, you will play a key role in ensuring that the school grounds, buildings, and facilities are maintained to a high standard for students, staff, and visitors. The Role As a School Maintenance Assistant,

your responsibilities will include

Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks across the school site Assisting with planned preventative maintenance and site inspections Maintaining school grounds and outdoor areas to a high standard Supporting the setup of classrooms, halls, and school events Monitoring health and safety standards across the site Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with contractors where required Assisting with security procedures, including opening and locking buildings Supporting the wider facilities team with day-to-day site operations About You The successful candidate will: Have previous experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities, site management, or a similar role Possess good practical DIY and repair skills Have a strong awareness of health and safety procedures Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently Have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude Be willing to undertake a variety of maintenance and site-related duties On-Call Requirement Please note that this position includes participation in an on-call rota , which will typically be one week in every three , responding to any urgent out-of-hours site issues when required.
