Chemical Process Engineer

Ideal Candidate Essentials Degree qualified Chemical or Process Engineer. 3-7 years' post-graduate experience within the chemical, petrochemical, refining, gas processing, fertiliser, power generation, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
Practical understanding of industrial process plant design, operation and maintenance. Risk engineering experience gained within an insurer, broker, consultancy, risk engineering practice, or industrial operator environment.
Experience conducting site surveys, risk assessments, HAZOPs, process safety reviews, or operational risk evaluations. Strong understanding of process safety fundamentals, including fire, explosion, business interruption and major accident hazards.
Demonstrable AI, data analytics and programming capability, with experience applying digital tools to engineering, risk assessment, asset performance, predictive modelling or operational decision-making. Proficiency in data analysis and modelling tools such as Python, R, SQL, MATLAB, Power BI, Tableau or equivalent platforms.
Experience developing or utilising data-driven models, machine learning tools, digital twins, predictive maintenance applications or engineering analytics solutions. Ability to interrogate, manipulate and interpret large operational and engineering datasets to support technical decision-making.
Excellent report writing and stakeholder communication skills. Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel. Nice to Have Chartered Engineer status (or working towards). Experience within insurance risk engineering, loss prevention, loss adjusting, forensic engineering, or major loss investigations.
