Overview
In this role you shape and win strategic data, AI, and GenAI transformations for top clients as part of Datatonic’s pre-sales team. You’ll translate business pain into structured technical narratives and craft solutions on Google Cloud, while guiding executives through complex trade-offs. You’ll partner with sales and delivery to define SOWs, RFP responses, and architectural options that balance value and feasibility. This is a high-impact, client-facing advisory role that blends technology leadership with strategic storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Lead early discovery with Sales to translate business pain into clear technical narratives
- Architect data, ML, and GenAI solutions on Google Cloud
- Own scoping, estimation, and writing of Statements of Work and RFP responses
- Support RFP responses, solution reviews, and deal strategy for opportunities over 1M
- Facilitate AI strategy and platform modernization workshops with a transformation lens
- Build POVs and architecture options balancing business value, feasibility, and cost
- Act as trusted advisor across data platforms, MLOps, Generative/Agentic AI, and application design
- Represent Datatonic at client sites, events, and executive dinners
- Enable Sales and Delivery teams on industry trends, discovery patterns, and accelerators
- Collaborate with GTM to produce industry-focused content and packaged solutions
Key requirements
- 7–12 years in data, analytics, ML, or cloud engineering/architecture
- Experience in large-scale digital/data/AI transformations
- At least 3 years in a pre-sales or client-facing advisory role
- Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (infrastructure, data governance) and AI concepts
- Hands-on depth in GCP; cross-skill from AWS/Azure considered
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify technical ideas for business leaders
- Consultative sales experience with deals over 1M
- Comfort presenting to C-suite and negotiating trade-offs
- Vertical experience in Telecommunications, FSI, Media, or Agencies (ideal)
