An award-winning, design-focused civil & structural engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Design Engineer into its central London office. With a team of around 170 employees across multiple UK offices , the business offers the stability and resources of an established consultancy, while maintaining a collaborative and close-knit studio environment at office level.
The OpportunityYou'll be joining a consultancy known for delivering innovative, elegant and practical engineering solutions , working closely with architects to bring complex designs to life. Projects are highly varied and include: Residential and mixed-use developmentsCultural and heritage refurbishmentsCommercial and education buildingsPublic realm and urban regeneration schemesArchitecturally complex, design-led projectsWith a strong presence across the UK and a growing London team, you'll benefit from exposure to a wide range of high-quality, design-focused schemes , while working in a well-connected and supportive office environment .The RoleAs a Civil Design Engineer , you'll contribute to the delivery of civil engineering elements across building-focused projects.
Responsibilities will include: Supporting the design of drainage, levels and external worksContributing to SuDS strategies and surface water managementAssisting with site development and access designProducing technical drawings using AutoCAD / Civil 3DWorking closely with architects and multidisciplinary teamsSupporting projects from concept through to detailed design and constructionContributing to design discussions and helping develop practical solutionsWhat We're Looking ForExperience in civil engineering design , ideally within development or building-related projectsBackground in drainage, external works or site developmentExperience using AutoCAD / Civil 3DUnderstanding of UK standards and approvalsStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetInterest in design-led engineering projectsWhy Apply?
