Job Description Civil Design Engineer £350 - £400 per dayRemote working with very occasional site visitsAre you a Civil Engineer with experience supporting the design and delivery of BESS, renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects?
Were looking for a contract Civil Engineer to support the principal contractor delivering a major 300MW BESS project in the Midlands. An external consultancy is producing the civil design package, so your role will be to act as the link between the design team and site.
Youll review designs, check they stack up against site conditions and help resolve technical queries before they become construction problems.
What youll be doing
Reviewing and verifying civil designs and drawingsResolving technical queries raised by the site teamManaging TQs, RFIs and drawing schedulesCoordinating with the external civil design consultancyChecking that designs reflect the project requirements and conditions on siteSupporting the wider engineering and project delivery teamsWhat were looking for: Civil engineering experience within BESS, renewable energy, substations, utilities or electrical infrastructureExperience reviewing civil designs rather than purely producing themA good understanding of construction drawings, TQs and RFIsConfidence working between designers, engineers and site teamsThe ability to work independently in a predominantly remote roleThe role can be carried out remotely, although you may occasionally need to visit the Midlands site to get eyes on any particularly tricky queries.
