Developing technical knowledge through structured training and practical project experience. Learning and using industry-standard software including: Civil 3D AutoCAD InfoDrainage / drainage design software Assisting with the preparation of technical reports, drawings and design documentation.
Attending design team meetings and supporting project discussions. Liaising with clients, consultants and wider design teams. Assisting with the management of project deliverables and meeting deadlines. Supporting senior engineers with the day-to-day running of projects.
Maintaining accurate project records and time management information. What you need to succeedA degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. A genuine interest in developing a career within civil infrastructure design.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Previous experience 2+ year or within a civil engineering consultancy. Knowledge of highways or drainage design principles. Familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD or InfoDrainage. Working towards professional development with the ICE.
