HIRING: Class 2 Cylinder Driver - Coryton CDC We are seeking a dedicated Class 2 Cylinder Driver to join our team at Coryton CDC on a long-term assignment to cover a core driver's long-term sickness. The Details * Location: Coryton CDC * Assignment Dates: 29/06/2026 - 31/12/2026 * Pay Rate: £41,650 per annum, Hourly Rate £19.41p/h and Overtime paid at £29.12p/h * Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:00 start * Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Basic) Join a leading provider of industrial gases committed to safety, innovation, and exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibilities * Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles to safely and efficiently deliver gas cylinders to customers across the region. * Ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company policies and health & safety regulations. * Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly. * Accurately complete delivery documentation and maintain records of deliveries and vehicle logs. * Assist with loading and unloading cylinders, ensuring proper handling and securement. * Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues. * Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during daily operations. * Participate in ongoing training and development to stay compliant with industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications * Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points. * Current CPC and Digital Tachograph card. * Valid ADR in Class 2 Packages * Previous experience in delivering gas cylinders or similar industrial products is desirable. * Strong understanding of UK road regulations and safe driving practices. * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. * Good communication skills and a professional manner. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Physical fitness to handle the manual aspects of loading and unloading cylinders. * Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to transportation and handling of gases.
