Pay: £18.50-£27.37 per hour Job Description: Class 2 HGV Driver Temp to Perm | 40 hours per week | Monday–Thursday | Every other Saturday overtime We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our transport team, completing multi-drop deliveries to convenience stores.
This is a temp to perm position offering a consistent 4-day working pattern, with the opportunity to earn additional overtime through a Saturday shift every other week. Working Hours Core working pattern – 4 x 10-hour shifts: Monday: Start time between 04:00–07:00 Tuesday: Start time between 11:00–15:00 Wednesday: Start time between 11:00–15:00 Thursday: Start time between 11:00–15:00 Additional overtime: Every other Saturday Start time: TBC Saturday shift is paid as overtime Candidates must be flexible and able to work the additional Saturday shift every other week.
The Role As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries to convenience stores while providing a professional and reliable service.
Your responsibilities will include
Completing multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently Loading, checking and securing vehicle loads Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices where required Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations Following all company, road transport and health & safety procedures Carrying out manual handling duties when required Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence A valid Driver CPC A valid Digital Tachograph Card Good knowledge of UK driving laws and regulations Previous HGV driving experience, ideally in a multi-drop delivery environment The ability to work early morning starts Flexibility to work the additional Saturday overtime shift every other week Good communication and customer service skills A reliable and professional approach to work The ability to carry out manual handling duties What We Offer Permanent position 40 hours per week Consistent Monday–Thursday working pattern Overtime available every other Saturday Competitive pay, dependent on experience Supportive transport team Long-term employment opportunity Potential for additional hours and progression If you're a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver looking for a consistent working pattern with the opportunity to earn additional overtime, we'd like to hear from you.
