Cleaner Secondary School, Ilford | 15 Hours per Week | Fixed-Term Contract until August 2027 | All Year Round We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our site team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and helping to provide a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Working as part of the school's facilities team, you will play a key role in ensuring that classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas are kept clean, hygienic, and presentable at all times. Working Hours Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 6:30pm 15 hours per week All year round Fixed-term contract until August 2027 Key Responsibilities Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas to a high standard.

Ensure toilet facilities are thoroughly cleaned, sanitised, and stocked. Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials. Replenish consumables including toiletries, tissues, and bin liners. Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.

Adhere to COSHH regulations and Health & Safety procedures at all times. Follow colour-coded cleaning systems and maintain hygiene standards. Empty and maintain vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment. Provide cover for colleagues when required and undertake additional cleaning duties as requested.

About You We are looking for someone who: Has previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school or educational environment. Understands the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Has good spoken and written English communication skills.

Is physically fit and able to undertake manual cleaning duties. Can work independently and as part of a team. Is reliable, organised, and self-motivated. Has a professional and friendly approach. Is willing to undertake relevant training.
