Location: Barrow-in-Furness Cumbria LA14 1WY Pay Rate: 15.00 per hour (PAYE) Hours: 9 hours per week Contract Type: Holiday Cover Assignment Dates: 11th August 2026 22nd August 2026 We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to provide holiday cover at a commercial site in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for part-time evening work over a two-week period. Working Hours Monday: 5:00pm 6:30pm (1.5 hours) Tuesday: 5:00pm 6:30pm (1.5 hours) Wednesday: 5:00pm 6:30pm (1.5 hours) Thursday: 5:00pm 6:30pm (1.5 hours) Friday: 5:00pm 6:30pm (1.5 hours) Saturday: 5:00pm 6:30pm (1.5 hours) Sunday: No work Total: 9 hours per week Key Responsibilities General cleaning of commercial premises Sweeping mopping and vacuuming floors Cleaning offices kitchens washrooms and communal areas Emptying bins and disposing of waste Replenishing consumables Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene Following all health and safety procedures Locking and securing the premises where required Candidate Requirements Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred Reliable punctual and trustworthy Comfortable working independently and as a lone worker Able to work as a key holder and operate an alarm system where required Right to work in the UK (documentation must be presented at induction) Willing to use a telephone-based time and attendance system This is a great opportunity to earn 15.00 per hour on a short-term holiday cover assignment with a professional facilities management team.
