Reference: SHJ921957799_1786979135Clinical Negligence Solicitor - 3-5 years' PQELocation: Sheffield (Hybrid - 2 days/week in office)I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading national law firm for a Solicitor to join their specialist Medical Negligence team in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high‑profile litigation within one of the UK's most respected claimant practices. The roleYou'll work within a dedicated Group Actions team handling a mix of individual medical negligence claims and large-scale group litigation.

The work is varied, technically challenging and often high‑impact. You'll manage your own caseload while also supporting senior lawyers on major national cases. Examples of recent work include:Claims involving paediatric and spinal surgeryGroup actions relating to defective medical devicesContaminated blood and human growth hormone claimsRepresenting families in the Thirlwall InquiryAviation disaster litigation involving international elementsDay‑to‑day responsibilities include:Providing clear, empathetic advice to clientsRunning your own caseload of medical negligence and group action mattersAssisting on high‑value, high‑profile litigationSeeking interim payments to support client rehabilitationWorking closely with experts, counsel and stakeholdersContributing to team development and knowledge sharingAbout you3-5 years PQE in medical negligenceExperience with complex litigationGroup actions or product liability experience is helpful but not essentialStrong organisational skills and commercial awarenessAble to work both independently and collaborativelyComfortable working in a fast‑paced environmentAble to commute to Sheffield 2 days per weekAbout the teamGrowing team with long‑standing employees and strong retentionSupport from paralegals, admin and PA staffSupervision and development built into the structureCaseloads capped at around 30 for quality and balanceClear progression pathways, with regular internal promotionsSalary & benefitsCompetitive salaryBonus scheme25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy morePension (5% employer / 3% employee)Healthcare, digital GP, life assurance and critical illness coverFree parkingTwo paid volunteering days per yearFlexible hybrid working (Wednesday anchor day + one other office day of your choice)New Sheffield office opening later this yearIf you're a medical negligence solicitor looking to develop your expertise in complex, meaningful litigation, I'd be happy to discuss this role further.
