Reference: HSJ921958366_1787146300Clinical Negligence Solicitor - NQ - 2 Years PQE | SwanseaWe are working with a leading regional law firm in its search for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its highly regarded Medical Negligence team in Swansea.

The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering expert legal advice with a client-focused approach and continues to invest in the growth and development of its specialist claimant practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or someone with up to two years' PQE looking to establish or further develop a career in clinical negligence.

You'll join a supportive and collaborative team, handling your own cases while gaining exposure to complex and high-value claims alongside experienced specialists. The RoleAs a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, you will work with clients who have suffered injury as a result of negligent medical treatment, providing compassionate and practical advice throughout the claims process.

Your responsibilities will include

Managing your own caseload of clinical negligence matters under appropriate supervisionAssisting senior lawyers on complex and high-value claimsLiaising with clients, medical experts, counsel and healthcare providersPreparing cases for settlement negotiations and court proceedingsDrafting legal documents, witness statements and correspondenceBuilding strong client relationships and delivering an exceptional client experienceThe caseload is likely to include a range of claims involving delays in diagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, treatment failures, medication errors and other healthcare-related negligence matters.

Candidate RequirementsApplications are encouraged from solicitors with up to two years' post-qualification experience who can demonstrate a genuine interest in claimant clinical negligence work. You will ideally have: Qualified Solicitor status in England & WalesExperience in clinical negligence, personal injury or litigation gained through a training contract, previous role or work placementExcellent client care and communication skillsStrong drafting and analytical abilitiesExceptional organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to prioritise a varied workload and manage competing deadlinesThis role would suit a newly qualified solicitor with exposure to clinical negligence during training, an early-career clinical negligence lawyer seeking greater responsibility, or a personal injury solicitor looking to specialise in this area.
