About the Role
/n
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with advanced expertise in Pelvic Health to join a growing Community Gynaecology service.
/n
This is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous clinician to provide specialist assessment and treatment for patients with complex pelvic health and urogynaecological conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Consultants, GPwERs, Specialist Nurses and the Clinical Lead, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while contributing to service development, education and clinical innovation.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver advanced assessment and treatment for patients with complex pelvic health conditions
- /n
- /n
- Manage patients presenting with urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and bowel dysfunction
- /n
- /n
- Perform specialist internal (vaginal and anorectal) pelvic health assessments where appropriate
- /n
- /n
- Develop personalised evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation programmes
- /n
- /n
- Deliver pelvic floor rehabilitation, bladder retraining and supported self-management programmes
- /n
- /n
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- /n
- /n
- Attend and contribute to MDT meetings
- /n
- /n
- Fit and manage vaginal pessaries within scope of practice
- /n
- /n
- Support service development, clinical governance, audit and research initiatives
- /n
- /n
- Supervise, mentor and educate junior colleagues and students
- /n
- /n
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards
- /n
- /n
- What We're Looking ForEssential
- /n
- /n
- /n
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- /n
- /n
- Current HCPC Registration
- /n
- /n
- Master's level education in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy (or equivalent advanced experience)
- /n
- /n
- Significant post-qualification experience in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
- /n
- /n
- Expertise in managing urogynaecological conditions including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and bowel dysfunction
- /n
- /n
- Competence in undertaking internal pelvic health examinations
- /n
- /n
- Excellent clinical reasoning and autonomous decision-making skills
- /n
- /n
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary team working skills
- /n
- /n
- Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel between clinic locations
- /n
- /n
Desirable
- /n
- /n
- /n
- Membership of specialist professional bodies (POGP, BSUG or ICS)
- /n
- /n
- Experience working within a Community Gynaecology service
- /n
- /n
- Experience leading service development and quality improvement initiatives
- /n
- /n
- Experience in clinical audit, research and education
- /n
- /n
- Experience supervising physiotherapists, nurses or students
- /n
- /n
