Cloud Engineer– Quant Trading

Overview In this role you will design and implement the firm's cloud infrastructure, focusing on public cloud integration with on-prem systems. You'll automate cloud management, guide development teams on best practices, and ensure alignment with the firm's security policy.

You'll work within Platform Engineering to scale and secure a global infrastructure in a fast-paced, finance-focused environment. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on technical excellence and meaningful impact in a leading hedge fund setting.

Pay / Benefits highly competitive compensation London base strong budget for tech global exposure learning culture collaborative environment Responsibilities Design and implement cloud infrastructure and its integration with on-prem systems Automate management of public cloud resources and deploy scalable deployments Advise developers and peer teams on best practices and security compliance Interpret and enforce the firm's security policy across cloud environments Maintain and improve OS, networking, and core infrastructure services across datacenters and offices Key requirements Extensive knowledge of modern cloud environments (preferably AWS) and their security properties Solid understanding of operating systems, networking, and infrastructure as code (Terraform) Proficiency in coding infrastructure products in Python or Go Experience designing and maintaining mid-size cloud deployments (hundreds to thousands of nodes) In-depth knowledge of cloud provider storage and networking options Hands-on experience in agile, fast-changing environments Hands-on and practical mindset Strong collaboration in cross-functional teams Adaptable in a jack-of-all-trades environment AWS (or other cloud environments) Terraform Python or Go
