Job Description CNC Machine Tool Service EngineerField Based | UK Wide Travel £35,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle + BenefitsWe are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Tool Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in high-precision machine tools.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience on CNC machinery including 3-axis and 5-axis machine tools, lathes, millers, and grinders. The RoleAs a CNC Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of CNC machine tools at customer sites across the UK.You will work independently to diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and ensure machinery is operating efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, and repair CNC machine toolsFault finding on electrical and mechanical systemsWorking on: 3 & 5 Axis CNC MachinesCNC LathesMilling MachinesGrinding MachinesInstallation and commissioning of new machineryPreventative and reactive maintenanceSupporting customers with breakdowns and technical issuesProducing clear service reports following site visitsRequirementsPrevious experience as a CNC Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Machine Tool EngineerStrong knowledge of CNC machine toolsAbility to read electrical drawings and diagnose faultsExperience with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mitsubishi controls would be advantageousMechanical and electrical maintenance experienceFull UK driving licenceStrong customer-facing skills and ability to work independently
