About the opportunity Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking to develop your skills on Mazak equipment? If you have solid CNC turning experience and a willingness to learn, we'd like to hear from you. We value machining ability, attitude and potential just as highly as direct Mazak experience.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Setter/Operator to join our growing team. This opportunity is ideal for skilled CNC Turners who have strong setting and operating experience and are keen to further develop their career.

While experience with Mazak machines would be beneficial, it is not essential, as full support and training will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their Mazak skills. Working within a modern aerospace manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components to exacting quality standards and tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision-machined aerospace and defence components. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T requirements. Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections using a range of precision measuring equipment.

Select, change and monitor tooling to ensure efficient and accurate production. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement activities. Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to achieve delivery and quality objectives.

Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and workplace organisation. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong CNC turning experience, including machine setup, tooling and offset adjustments.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensional specifications. Experience working to tight tolerances and demanding quality requirements. Competent in the use of precision inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new machines, controls and manufacturing techniques. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Desirable Skills Previous experience with Mazak CNC lathes or Mazatrol controls.

Experience within aerospace, defence, oil & gas, medical or other high-precision manufacturing sectors. Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems. What we offer Structured training and development on Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls.
