CNC Turner - Programmer

CNC Turner / Programmer 2-Axis CNC Turning | Permanent Late Shift | 4-Day Week £49,920 - £58,240 Monday to Thursday | Permanent 3Sixty Talent Management are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering business.

This is a CNC programming role , not a setter/operator-only position. You must be confident writing new CNC turning programmes from scratch at the machine, as well as setting and operating with minimal supervision. The Role Working on an established late shift, you'll benefit from a four-day working week , with every Friday off.

Shift times: Monday to Wednesday: 4.30pm – 3.30am Thursday: 4.30pm – 1.00am Friday: Day off You'll be responsible for taking components from engineering drawing through to finished product, including programming, setting, tooling, machining and inspection.

Essential Experience Proven experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines Able to write new CNC programmes from scratch/long-hand at the machine Strong working knowledge of G-code programming Confident completing full machine set-ups from engineering drawing to finished component Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finishes and inspection Experience producing one-off and low-to-medium volume precision components Experience working with a range of hard and soft metals Able to edit and optimise existing programmes Quality-focused, self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision Desirable Experience with Fanuc controls Fanuc Manual Guide i experience What's on Offer £49,920 - £58,240 Permanent, full-time position Four-day working week Every Friday off Late-shift premium 28 days' holiday including Bank Holidays Additional Christmas shutdown Pension scheme Healthcare scheme Excellent working environment within a long-established engineering business
