I'm currently working with a highly regarded specialist law firm on an exciting opportunity for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join their Manchester team. The firm operates within the sports and media sectors, advising a range of high-profile clients on complex and often high-profile matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their contentious experience within a genuinely niche and interesting area of law. The role Joining an established team of specialist contentious lawyers, you will be involved in a broad range of disputes and regulatory matters, including: Advising clients on disputes and regulatory matters within the sports sector.
Handling commercial litigation, including media and social media disputes. Advising on disciplinary and regulatory investigations. Working on matters involving sporting governing bodies and dispute resolution forums. Advising on a range of contentious issues affecting clubs, athletes, agents and other organisations.
Working closely with experienced lawyers and high-profile clients. Supporting business development and helping to develop the firm's disputes practice. About you The firm is looking for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor from NQ to 4 PQE, although candidates outside of this range may also be considered where they have the right experience.
You should have: Qualified solicitor status in England & Wales. Strong academics and excellent communication skills. Experience within Dispute Resolution / Commercial Litigation. An interest in sports, media or regulatory work.
Sports and media experience would be advantageous but is not essential. A commercial and entrepreneurial approach. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines. The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
