Equans is looking for a Commercial Manager to join the team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The post holder will be working on one of our national accounts there the post holder can be based anywhere in the UK.The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial delivery of a significant FM service contract within EQUANS Sustainable Facilities Management Division and support other contracts in the wider portfolio as required.
They will provide contract commercial management and profit improvement, risk and opportunity management along with focus on compliance. In addition they may be required to support growth within on the existing contracts as well as new business development initiatives to extend the suite of contracts in the region.
The Commercial Manager will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers and leadership and functions. Holding collective responsibility with the commercial team to improve operations and deliver against financial plans.
What will you deliver? Supporting the Senior Commercial Manager in the satisfaction of contract and company objectivesTaking the lead with clients directly to identify and resolve variations from the contract deliverablesParticipating in bid governance processes including presenting to Sector/Division levelsNegotiating, on an equitable basis, internally and externally to ensure that the business is not exposed to riskLeading in all dispute resolution activity in these contracts areas or having a thorough input into the dispute resolution activityWorking within contract review and governance frameworksDealing reactively in mitigation key risk areas as they arise and providing support to Finance and Operations to resolve in a timely mannerWorking within the operating environment to ensure EQUANS Code of Conduct is thoroughly understood, adhered to and promoted across the business to ensure safe, compliant and consistent working practicesBehaving with integrity and demonstrating professional image at all times.

Suitable commercial experience, experience of FM contracts would be beneficialEducated to degree/ diploma level in either Law, Business, Surveying (Building/Quantity), or the Built Environment (FM, Land)Understanding and practical application of base English law applicable to contracts generally and the FM industryExcellent communicatorExcellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracySkilled negotiator with proven experience in a commercial environmentSound understanding of risk analysis/managementPC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g.
