About the roleAs a Community Connector, you'll work alongside people in their communities, supporting them to develop skills, build confidence, and achieve the things that matter most to them. No two days are the same, but you'll be: Supporting people to develop life skills ,confidence and independenceEncouraging choice, control and personalized outcomesEnable access to meaningful activities, hobbies and experiencesBuilding positive, trusting relationships that will make a lasting differenceWorking as part of a supportive team, alongside Regional Outreach Manager and assistant Outreach Managers as well as your colleagues who share your valuesThis is a flexible role, with shifts based on the needs of the people we support.
You'll primarily be based in Street, with travel across other areas of Somerset when required. You will need to have adequate literacy and numeracy skills as well as basic computer skills. No direct experience is required as full training is given by Discovery. A full induction is provided the day you start and you will work towards your Care Certificate within the first three months of your new role, with full support from the Locality and Assistant Locality Managers.
