This is a standout opportunity to join a major national contentious construction practice with an exceptional reputation across the UK and internationally. The RoleYou'll be joining a large, well established national construction disputes team, working on a broad and sophisticated range of contentious matters.

The work is high value, complex and consistently engaging, with a client base that includes major developers, international and domestic contractors, consultants, social housing providers, and public sector bodies. Your caseload will span:Adjudication, mediation and litigation under the Construction & Engineering Pre Action ProtocolContractual interpretation and risk managementProfessional negligence claimsHigh value defect disputes and Building Safety Act issuesPFI related disputesWork involving JCT, NEC, FIDIC, ICE, PPC, GC Works and bespoke contractsYou'll collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm's UK offices, contribute to business development, and play an active role in raising the profile of the team.

This is a senior position with genuine influence, offering the chance to help shape client relationships and support the development of junior lawyers. Candidate RequirementsThe firm is seeking a confident, commercially minded construction disputes specialist who can demonstrate:Qualified solicitor with 8+ years' experience in contentious constructionStrong track record across adjudication, litigation and arbitration (domestic or international)Experience handling complex, high value defect disputesUnderstanding of the Building Safety Act and its implications for the sectorExperience acting for major developers, contractors or public bodiesStrong knowledge of JCT, NEC and FIDIC contract suitesA proactive approach to business development and client engagementExcellent communication skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage files independentlyExperience supervising and supporting junior lawyersWhy JoinThis is an exciting moment to join a firm with a strong national footprint, a modern and ambitious outlook, and a construction team that continues to grow at pace.
