Contentious Construction Solicitor - NQ - 4 PQE TSR Legal are currently supporting a multi office top 100 law firm who are looking for a Contentious Construction Solicitor to join an established and growing Construction team in Cardiff.
You will advise a broad range of clients, including developers, contractors, consultants, funders, investors and public sector organisations, on a variety of construction and engineering disputes. The role will involve managing matters from initial instruction through to resolution, with exposure to complex and high-value disputes and the opportunity to develop strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities Advising on a broad range of construction and engineering disputes. Advising on contractual disputes, including payment, delay, disruption, defects, variations, extensions of time and termination. Managing and conducting adjudications, including preparing notices, referrals, responses and enforcement proceedings.
Conducting and assisting with litigation, including proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC). Advising on arbitration, mediation, negotiation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Providing strategic advice on dispute avoidance and early resolution.
Drafting pleadings, submissions, witness statements, expert instructions and other litigation and adjudication documentation. Managing matters effectively, including budgets, deadlines, client expectations and case strategy.
Working collaboratively with partners, solicitors, paralegals and specialists across the wider business. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Supporting business development initiatives, including networking, seminars, client training and legal updates. Contributing to the continued development and growth of the Construction
