This is a chance to work on major disputes across the construction and energy sectors from their Bristol office. You'll take on a varied and stimulating caseload involving: Payment disputes, delays and defectsProfessional negligence claimsContract management and dispute mitigation strategiesAdjudication, litigation, arbitration, mediation and other ADRAdvising on a wide range of construction and energy projects, including commercial development, utilities, renewables, residential and facilities managementWorking on matters that have featured in reported casesClose collaboration with colleagues across Real Estate, Corporate, Commercial and PlanningThe team acts for an impressive client base spanning global funders, multinationals, local authorities, contractors, developers and well known household names across energy, renewables, housing, retail and waste.

RequirementsYou'll be an experienced contentious construction lawyer with: Strong experience running construction disputes day to dayA solid grounding in adjudication and the court litigation processFamiliarity with JCT and NEC contracts and commonly used professional appointmentsExperience across a range of construction related claims, including adjudications, arbitrations and expert determinationsExcellent communication skills and a commercial, pragmatic approachThe ability to manage complex matters, advise directly on strategy and work collaboratively under pressureIn ReturnDirect client contact from the outsetOngoing training and support from a specialist Senior Knowledge LawyerHigh levels of responsibility and exposure to complex, high value workA collaborative, well respected team with cross departmental supportOpportunities to grow your network, develop your profile and get involved in business developmentA firm committed to wellbeing, work life balance and responsible business initiativesTop tier work in a leading national firm with modern offices in Bristol, hybrid working and a full suite of benefits.
