Role: Continuous Improvement Engineer Location: Stoke-on-Trent Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00–16:50, Friday 08:00–12:10 (37.5 hours) Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business in Stoke-on-Trent.
This newly created role will drive improvements across manufacturing, engineering and wider business processes. Working closely with Engineering, Production and Quality, you will identify inefficiencies, lead improvement projects and implement practical solutions to improve productivity, quality and delivery.
Duties of a Continuous Improvement Engineer: Analyse workflows, identify bottlenecks and improve production efficiency Optimise layouts, material flow, tooling, fixtures and processes Lead Continuous Improvement projects from concept through to implementation Improve processes across Commercial, Engineering, Production and Quality Support NPI and improve the transition from prototype to production Develop and standardise SOPs, work instructions and manufacturing documentation Apply Lean and problem-solving tools including 5 Whys, Fishbone, A3 and DMAIC Reduce waste, rework and process variation Use data and KPIs to identify and measure improvements Improve systems, BOMs, documentation and engineering change processes Work cross-functionally to embed and sustain improvements What you need to apply for Continuous Improvement Engineer: Manufacturing, engineering or production experience Proven experience delivering Continuous Improvement projects Hands-on experience working with production teams Lean / Continuous Improvement qualification, ideally Green Belt Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience managing projects and working with multiple stakeholders Strong communication and influencing skills Good IT literacy; SharePoint experience is desirable Power Automate or digital improvement experience would be advantageous Engineering or Manufacturing qualification desirable but not essential A proactive, innovative approach with a genuine passion for improvement By applying for this position, you confirm that you have read and understood our Data Privacy Statement and give Bolt Technical auth...
