As a Control Manager, Associate at JPMorganChase within Wholesale Lending Services Operations, you will support end-to-end execution of the firm's Compliance and Operational Risk Evaluation requirements, helping reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk.

You'll partner closely with stakeholders across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions, acting as part of the first line of defense to prevent, detect, and monitor risk.

Job responsibilitiesSupporting business partners with in-depth analysis of processes, gaps, and heightened risks, and assessing control completeness, accuracy, and timelinessDeveloping and supporting corrective action plans to address control weaknesses and mitigate riskPartnering with stakeholders across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions to drive consistent operational risk and control practicesSupporting control governance and reporting, including meaningful metrics and escalation of control breaks based on key indicatorsIdentifying, escalating, and reporting risk events, including documenting events in the firm's internal tracking systemMaintaining and evolving the risk assessment structure within the firm's Compliance and Operational Risk Evaluation system for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regionPerforming action plan validation testing and supporting control testing aligned to control objectivesServing as a point of contact for internal and external audits and supporting audit information requestsConducting proactive and ad hoc reviews and controls testing to help ensure controls are well-designed and operating effectively Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in financial services with experience in controls, operations, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, compliance, or related subject matter expertiseProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders with clear, actionable insightsStrong collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to design and drive action plans to completion within deadlines to mitigate risk and address control issuesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsKnowledge of complex global businesses, regulatory requirements, and operational risk practicesDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and influence change in a dynamic environmentFlexibility and adaptability in managing shifting priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced settingAbility to make informed decisions, influence stakeholders, and explain decision-making rationaleJ.P.
