Req ID: 220009 Location: Eastern Zone Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital Department: NFS Patient Food Service ICH Type of Employment: PermanentHourly FT (100%) x 1 Union: UNIFORSupportPosition Posting Closing Date: 27-Aug-26 About the Opportunity Under the supervision of the Nutrition Food Service supervisor and manager of Nutrition and Food Services the Red Seal Cook independently and within a team prepares meals using standardized quantity recipes for patient food services operations as well as for clientele for the cafeteria/catering/retail services.

The Red Seal Cook in collaboration with the other cooking staff is also responsible for menu planning and maintaining a high standard of sanitation and safety in an institutional food service operation. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade 12 or equivalentrequired Red Seal cooking certificationrequired Serv Safe Advanced course required Previous cooking experience in hospital setting preferred Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting bending walking standing) Competencies in other languages an asset French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education experience training and certifications.

Hours Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Compensation and Benefits $25.24 - $28.22 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health dental travel long-term disability and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
