Corporate Tax Assistant Manager – Stockport Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester Job Type: Permanent | Hybrid Working Salary: Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits We are recruiting a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager on behalf of a leading independent accountancy and business advisory firm in Stockport.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified CTA professional or an experienced Corporate Tax Senior looking to step into an Assistant Manager role. You'll join a growing tax team with a strong advisory focus, working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses across a broad range of corporate tax matters.
The Role Working closely with Tax Managers and Partners, you will support the delivery of a wide range of corporate tax advisory projects while continuing to build your technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include
Assisting with corporate tax advisory projects for SMEs and owner-managed businesses Supporting tax planning and advisory assignments across a range of tax matters Identifying tax planning opportunities within client portfolios Reviewing corporate tax compliance work and using this to support advisory projects Carrying out technical research and preparing written tax advice Attending client meetings and building strong client relationships Working closely with colleagues across tax and business services teams Supporting Partners and Managers on complex advisory assignments About You You'll have: CTA qualified (or recently qualified) Strong UK Corporate Tax experience gained within an accountancy practice Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses A solid background in corporate tax compliance An interest in developing your corporate tax advisory skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills A proactive and commercially focused approach Previous tax advisory experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
