Job Description Are you a technically strong Corporate Tax professional with Big Firm experience looking to step into a senior leadership role within a growing, independent firm? I'm working with a highly regarded and expanding accountancy practice in Warrington that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior Manager or Associate Director to support the continued growth of their corporate tax offering.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently operating in a Top 10 or larger firm environment , who is used to working with complex, large corporate clients and is looking for more autonomy, visibility, and a clear route to progression.
You'll play a key role in leading the corporate tax compliance function, overseeing a high-quality portfolio of clients, and supporting the development of both the team and the wider service line. Corporate Tax Associate Director ResponsibilitiesManaging a portfolio of large corporate and group clients , including both audit and non-audit clientsOverseeing the delivery of corporate tax compliance , ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to deadlinesReviewing complex corporation tax returns and computationsManaging group structures , including multi-entity and international elementsAdvising on and reviewing complex capital allowances claimsEnsuring compliance with areas affecting large corporates, including: Transfer pricing awarenessCorporate interest restriction (CIR)Debt funding and financing structuresManaging client relationships and acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholdersLeading, mentoring, and developing a team of tax professionalsOverseeing budgets, WIP, and billing , ensuring commercial efficiency across the portfolioSupporting workflow planning, resource management, and team organisationWorking closely with Partners on technical matters and complex client issuesContributing to internal process improvements and maintaining high technical standardsCorporate Tax Associate Director AttributesACA / CTA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)Proven experience within a Top 20 or larger accountancy firm environmentStrong background in corporate tax compliance for large corporates and groupsExcellent technical knowledge, including capital allowances and key corporate tax legislationAwareness of complex areas such as transfer pricing, CIR, and financing structuresExperience managing a portfolio of sizeable, complex clientsConfident reviewer with strong attention to detailPrevious experience leading or managing a teamHighly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesStrong communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationshipsCorporate Tax Associate Director BenefitsClear and structured progression path to Director / PartnerCompetitive salary and performance-related bonusFlexible and hybrid working optionsSupportive, people-focused culture with real autonomyFree ParkingIf you're currently in a large firm and enjoy the technical complexity of corporate tax, but want more visibility, ownership, and progression , this could be the ideal next step.
