Job Description Craft Gardener required for our public sector client3 x depots Knighton Park Depot Evington Park Depot Abbey Park DepotA full driving licence is essentialMondays to Thursday 7.30 - 3.30pm with half hour unpaid lunch.
Fridays 7.30 - 3.00 with half hour unpaid lunch. Key Job Activities: Maintain horticultural features on green infrastructure, Parks, Housing and Highways landPrepare and maintain sports features, including artificial surfacesMaintain hard landscape features, including buildingsDevelop new hard and soft landscaping featuresOperate and maintain hand and mechanical specialist equipment used in the maintenance of features.
Drive and operate a tractorPrepare and apply chemicals e.g. herbicides, fungicides, insecticides etcKeep sites clean and tidyProvide advice and support to customers using the facilitiesComplete routine paperworkReport any issues identified to the Team LeaderCarry out other miscellaneous duties associated with the roleExperience* Experience in either horticulture or groundsman ship* Experience of working directly with customers* Experience of using horticultural specialist equipment and chemicals* Qualification in horticulture, groundsman ship or ecology* Formal training in horticulture, groundsman ship and/or ecology* Knowledge of Health & Safety issues relating to area of work and HASWA* Valid driving licence
