Data Architect, Data Foundation

Overview

As a Data Architect, you act as a trusted adviser to clients, guiding data governance, cataloguing, quality, and infrastructure while integrating Informatica and MuleSoft within Salesforce. You collaborate with account teams and executives to align architecture with business goals, qualify opportunities, and demonstrate value. You help clients craft an Architectural Vision for Agentic and Data Transformation and persuade senior IT leaders to adopt it. This role blends advisory leadership with hands-on storytelling and enablement in a fast-evolving data/AI landscape.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on data governance, cataloguing, quality, and infrastructure in Informatica and MuleSoft environments
• Lead architectural discussions and deliver tailored architecture presentations for diverse stakeholders
• Align technical architecture with customer business drivers, funding, and ROI to qualify opportunities
• Support enterprise and domain architects to create an Architectural Vision and to-be architecture for Data Transformation
• Lead strategic account planning with Account Executives and run workshops to guide enterprise journeys
• Deliver demos and compelling architectural visuals to illustrate practical applications and ROI
• Champion brand through blogs, webinars, and industry speaking engagements
• Onboard, certify on core Data Foundation products, and drive delivery of self-service assets
• Travel up to 30% within UK and Ireland as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Solution Engineers and executives to drive opportunities

Key requirements

• Data Architecture Strategy & Value Realisation: ability to analyze complex challenges and architect data solutions
• Data & Cloud Fundamentals: experience with hybrid deployments, database design, data warehousing, BI concepts
• Architectural Advisory: provide guidance to support compelling demos and ROI-focused outcomes
• Workshop Facilitation & Strategic Alignment: run technical workshops aligning practices with business priorities
• Thought Leadership & Technical Enablement: produce architectural diagrams and best-practice docs, stay current on AI and data trends
• Regional Mobility: travel up to 30% in the UK and Ireland region
• Bonus Experience: storytelling in sales partnerships; hands-on implementation with data governance/quality tools; experience with Informatica or MuleSoft ecosystems; regulatory knowledge (GDPR, EU AI Act); advanced AI concepts; Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
