Data Engineer

Data Engineer Location: London (Hybrid) Salary: £50,000–£70,000 + bonus and benefits The Opportunity I'm working with a leading organisation in the cyber and defence sector that delivers critical technology solutions across national security.

They're looking to expand their data engineering capability with engineers who can build and maintain reliable, scalable data solutions in complex and secure environments. This is an opportunity to work on data platforms that support mission-critical operations, helping transform large volumes of data into trusted, accessible and actionable information.

The Role You'll be responsible for developing and enhancing data infrastructure, building efficient pipelines and ensuring data can be processed, managed and accessed reliably across different environments.

Key responsibilities include

Build, maintain and improve ETL/ELT pipelines to support the movement and processing of data. Develop reliable data ingestion and integration solutions across multiple sources. Design data models, architectures and workflows to support operational requirements and analytics.

Implement and maintain data storage solutions across cloud-based and on-premises environments. Apply software engineering and DataOps principles to improve deployment, automation, monitoring and reliability. Support data quality, governance, metadata management and security requirements.

Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions that meet business and operational needs. What We're Looking For Proven experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining data platforms and pipelines rather than data analysis alone.
