Data Engineer Quant Finance

Overview

In this role you will build and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure to empower Quants and Data Scientists in a financial markets setting. You will work with large, complex datasets, develop data models, and improve data quality, enabling advanced quantitative work. The position offers a path toward more data science responsibilities within a scaling research-focused tech company. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data products and contribute to ongoing data-driven transformation.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and maintain robust data pipelines
• Work with large, complex financial datasets
• Develop data models and improve data quality
• Create tooling and infrastructure for Quant and Data Science teams
• Improve data products and processes through continuous improvement
• Over time, take on more Data Science / Quantitative responsibilities

Key requirements

• Commercial experience in data engineering/analyst role
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience building data pipelines and handling large datasets
• Understanding of data modelling and data engineering principles
• Strong academic background with analytical/problem-solving skills
• Product mindset and ability to build reliable data solutions
