A leading global organisation is seeking a highly knowledgeable Data Protection Officer and EMEA Head of Privacy to drive its data privacy and protection strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape privacy governance frameworks, provide strategic advice to senior leaders, and ensure compliance with UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and other relevant legislation. You will be the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities in the UK, overseeing privacy risk management and supporting business initiatives involving emerging technologies.

Act as the formally appointed UK Data Protection Officer, providing independent oversight and direct engagement with regulatory bodies such as the Information Commissioner's Office.

Lead a network of privacy champions across EMEA, delivering targeted training programmes and promoting awareness of best practice in data protection throughout the organisation.

What you'll do

As Data Protection Officer and EMEA Head of Privacy, your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around building a resilient privacy compliance framework that supports business objectives while safeguarding personal data.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to advise on regulatory risks, oversee complex international data transfers, manage records of processing activities, respond to data subject requests, lead incident investigations, and coordinate regulatory reporting.

Your expertise will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement through regular audits, risk assessments, training initiatives, and collaborative engagement with external advisers.
