Data Scientist

Overview

In this role you bridge research and engineering to turn new ML ideas into robust production systems. You will work across traditional ML, deep learning, transformers and Generative AI to handle large-scale data and integrate models into production pipelines. You’ll collaborate with researchers, product and engineering teams while helping shape the technical roadmap. The opportunity combines cutting-edge AI R&D with practical deployment, delivering impactful applications with social and commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Move ML/AI research into production-ready systems
• Collaborate across ML, DL, transformers and Generative AI to build end-to-end solutions
• Work with large-scale, complex datasets
• Partner with researchers, academics, product and engineering teams
• Contribute to architecture and long-term technical roadmaps
• Lead and participate in R&D sprints
• Develop reliable, high-quality ML software

Key requirements

• Strong Python and SQL
• Experience deploying ML into production
• Solid knowledge of traditional ML techniques
• Understanding of deep learning and transformers
• Exposure to Generative AI
• Statistical knowledge and interest in causal modelling
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD
• MSc or PhD beneficial but not essential
