Delivery Driver

Self-Employed Owner-Drivers – Immediate Start Location: Plymouth and Bristol (Avonmouth depot) Pay Rate: £17 per hour Shift: Monday to Friday – usual hours 12:00–18:00, with some routes requiring up to 7.5 hours per day Job Type: Self-employed | Long-term | Ongoing Owner-Drivers Required – Weekly Pay Quest Employment are currently recruiting 7 self-employed owner-drivers for a reputable client: 5 in or around Plymouth and 2 in or around Bristol .

This is a great opportunity for reliable drivers looking for ongoing work, consistent weekday routes and regular afternoon hours. You must have your own MWB, LWB or XLWB van. Vans are not supplied. The Role As a Self-Employed Owner-Driver, your duties will include: Completing a fixed business collection route, with occasional deliveries Collecting parcels and boxed consignments from trade and business addresses Hand loading and unloading parcel-sized items Returning collected goods to the depot at the end of each day Handling consignments carefully and providing professional customer service Completing timesheets accurately and following safe working procedures No furniture, white goods or two-person lifts are involved.

Routes and Delivery Areas Plymouth: Routes covering Plymouth, Newton Abbot, Kingsteignton, Torquay, Dawlish, Starcross and the Exeter area. Typically 7–12 collections per day, covering approximately 80 miles. Bristol: Fixed collection routes operating from the Avonmouth depot.

Key Skills and Requirements We are looking for candidates who: Have their own MWB, LWB or XLWB van Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 penalty points Have no drink-driving, drug-driving or driving disqualification convictions Are aged 20 or over Have the right to work in the UK Are reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently Can safely load and unload parcel-sized consignments Have good communication and customer service skills Documents Required Before Starting Full UK driving licence and DVLA check Right-to-work documents and National Insurance number Van V5 registration document and current MOT Valid hire and reward motor insurance certificate Goods in transit insurance covering at least £10,000 A photograph of your van UTR number if paid directly by the client No DBS check is required.
