Design Engineer £40,000 Dungannon, Northern Ireland Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next challenge? Were recruiting a Design Engineer to join a Portable Plant Engineering team in Dungannon working on the design, development and improvement of industry-leading crushing and screening equipment.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ideas from concept through to production and wants to see their designs make a real difference on the shop floor and in the field. The Role Youll be involved in a varied mix of design and development work, including: Designing new products and engineering improvements to existing machinery Producing detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and engineering specifications Developing prototypes and supporting production launches Investigating engineering issues and driving root-cause solutions Working with welded steel structures and hydraulic systems Improving product performance, reliability, safety and manufacturing cost Working closely with production, purchasing, suppliers and customers Supporting engineering changes and maintaining released design data Helping to standardise components and introduce new technologies Supporting technical publications, manuals and parts documentation About You Were looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with around 2 years experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Youll ideally have

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Strong 3D CAD experience Creo would be highly desirable Experience designing mechanical equipment or machinery Knowledge of engineering standards and manufacturing processes Experience with welded structures and/or hydraulics A practical, problem-solving approach The confidence to work with multiple teams and stakeholders A creative mindset and a genuine interest in improving how things are designed and built
