Salary and Benefits of the Water Design Engineer £60,000 per annum 1.30pm finish every Friday 25 Days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays Healthcare Cashback Plan Death in Service Income Protection - 3 X Annual Salary 6% Employer Pension Contribution Free Onsite Parking Company Phone & LaptopRole and Responsibilities You will be responsible for producing detailed engineering designs and drawings for water industry projects, working closely with Engineers, Project Managers, Fabrication and Site teams to ensure designs are accurate, practical and suitable for manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed mechanical engineering designs and drawings for water industry projects. Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models. Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specifications. Design mechanical equipment, pipework layouts and associated systems.

Identify and resolve design issues prior to manufacture and installation. Liaise with engineering, fabrication and site teams. Update drawings following design changes and site requirements. Essential Criteria of the Water Design Engineer Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Water industry.

Experience producing detailed mechanical engineering and fabrication drawings. Proficient in Auto CAD and ideally 3D design software. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs. Good understanding of mechanical design, fabrication and installation.
