A leading Tier 1 building contractor is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their highly successful team delivering a major high-profile development in the heart of Edinburgh. Working alongside some of the industry's most experienced construction professionals, you will play a key role in managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring programme, quality, and technical requirements are achieved. The RoleAs Design Manager,

you will

Manage and coordinate the design process across all project stagesWork closely with consultants, architects, subcontractors, and site teamsEnsure design information is produced and delivered in line with programme requirementsIdentify and resolve technical and design-related challengesReview design proposals to ensure buildability, compliance, and commercial viabilitySupport project delivery teams throughout constructionContribute to value engineering and risk management initiativesWhat We're Looking ForApplications are welcomed from candidates with: Previous experience in a Design Manager position within the construction sectorAn Architectural Technology, Architectural, or related design backgroundExperience working on large-scale building projectsStrong technical knowledge and attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to coordinate multiple design disciplines and manage competing prioritiesCandidates from Architectural Technologist, Architect, Senior Architectural Technician, or Assistant Design Manager backgrounds looking to progress their careers are encouraged to apply.
