Design Systems Manager

Overview

As Design Systems Manager, you will lead the end-to-end strategy, architecture, and adoption of our design system across web and mobile. You will bridge design and engineering, guiding systemic strategy while hands-on with high-craft execution.

You’ll define global patterns, enforce WCAG accessibility standards, and raise product quality across journeys. Collaborating with Design Leads, Front-End Engineering Leads, and Product Managers, you’ll enable teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences at scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight on design system initiatives across web and mobile, setting long-term roadmap and vision
• Collaborate with product design and front-end engineering for integration, tokens, and component library alignment
• Maintain high design craft, ensuring UI consistency and visual polish
• Establish, document, and enforce accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
• Drive governance and adoption with clear contribution models and documentation
• Optimize workflows, component libraries, and documentation platforms to boost development velocity

Key requirements

• 6+ years in product design and design systems with experience across web and mobile
• Deep technical fluency for collaboration with front-end engineers on design tokens, component architecture, and code repos
• Strong knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and implementing accessible design systems
• Proficiency with modern design tooling (Figma, tokens, variables) and documentation platforms (Storybook, Zeroheight, or similar)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to drive adoption and align cross-functional teams
• Mentoring experience for junior/mid-level designers
