NPD Development Baker - Monday to Friday

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Location: Slough The Role

Vanta Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced

NPD Development Baker

to join a busy product development team within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new product concepts, creating and refining recipes, managing customer samples and supporting product trials from initial concept through to customer approval. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong

artisan baking knowledge , an understanding of production techniques and a genuine interest in developing new and innovative products. Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage initial recipe concepts within a dedicated product development environment.

Create, test and refine new product ideas from initial concept through to customer samples.

Manage sample requests and ensure products are developed and produced within agreed procedures and timescales.

Work closely with the Sales team to understand customer requirements and deliver product samples accordingly.

Lead and support production trials, ensuring products are suitable for manufacture at scale.

Prepare resulting product samples for testing, evaluation and customer sign-off.

Explore and support the introduction of new ingredients, from initial research and inspiration through to practical application.

Consider ingredient restrictions, technical implications and production requirements when developing new products.

Communicate product specifications, requirements and development information to relevant departments.

Work closely with production and other internal teams to ensure successful product launches.

Ensure all development activities comply with quality, health & safety, legal and company requirements.

Maintain a strong focus on product quality, consistency and commercial viability.

Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve products, processes and development methods.

Complete additional development projects and duties as reasonably required by the manager and wider business.

About You

We are looking for a creative and technically minded individual who combines

hands-on baking skills with an understanding of commercial production . You will ideally have: Strong knowledge of

artisan baking techniques .

Previous experience in

NPD, product development, recipe development or a similar role .

An understanding of food production processes and manufacturing techniques.

The ability to develop, test and refine recipes.

Experience working with ingredients and understanding their technical application.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to product development.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Sales, Production and other
