Development Chef

Overview

In this role you lead the ideation and development of bakery-focused products, translating briefs into market-ready concepts. You will collaborate with Brand, Commercial, Technical, and Process teams to ensure successful new product introductions that meet brand and consumer expectations. You’ll stay ahead of market trends to identify opportunities to elevate quality and innovation. This role combines creativity with commercial accountability within a supportive, collaborative culture that values continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of new products from concept to bakery trials
• Translate customer briefs into standout product ideas and present them internally and externally
• Collaborate with commercial, technical and process teams to deliver successful NPD outcomes
• Ensure recipes are accurate, compliant, and maintained in internal systems
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to innovate and improve quality

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience in food creation, development or culinary innovation (kitchen, product development, or related background)
• Comfort with retailers or willingness to learn how to meet retailer expectations
• Creative approach to food with proven idea presentation
