Development Manager / Assistant Development Manager

Overview

In this role you drive development delivery for high-profile schemes in London, guiding projects from concept through planning and handover. You work closely with technical teams and external stakeholders, coordinating consents, rights of light, leases, and stakeholder alignment including Transport for London. The position offers exposure to acquisition and joint-venture schemes and the chance to learn from seasoned professionals on complex projects. A dynamic, cross-functional environment awaits you, with a strong focus on shaping schemes in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

• Lead the early-stage planning and development activities from concept to delivery
• Coordinate with stakeholders including RP partners, TFL, and other bodies
• Secure planning consents and rights of light
• Oversee draw-down of leases and bring parties together for project delivery
• Collaborate with the technical team ahead of handover to delivery
• Support sales to RP partners and manage acquisition/JV scheme processes

Key requirements

• 2–3 years post-graduate experience in development management or a similar role
• Experience with planning processes, consents, and stakeholder coordination in London/Greater London
• Exposure to acquisition and JV schemes
• Capable of handling sites ranging 200–1000 units
